Well Written

Sometimes just browsing through the net makes you feel so bad.
Today I just happened to go through a very young guy's profile on Orkut. The way he had written across his profile was so profound that it simply hurt. He had written about the way he sees things around him, people around him and of course the world in general. This is the same guy who is partying almost all nights, doing drugs and boozing his guts out. ouch..!! did I mention i am talking about a very young guy? But one thing that deserves a mentioning is that apart from all this he is a super intelligent guy pursuing his career in a good profession and a well renowned institute in India... Anyway out of sheer sleeplessness I actually browsed through his various writings. Some love he had for darkness!?! His random words put together brought out some thoughts - that cannot be called as wonderful as they are mostly in a darker tone....but are so touching and unique that you just end up wanting for more...!! Midway I wanted to be there with him just to see for myself what kinda guy this one really is. but obviously the only kind of people that he would really have around him would be like him and i would never want to lead a life like that!
God bless the young soul and his way with words!

Shopping Hazard

Recently, I had gone for shopping.... this session of mine was fairly over-due. I had not shopped since a long time. When I was just about to pay up, a friend from US called and was (acted) reluctant to talk once he knew I was shopping. Since he was making fun of me I told him that I had not shopped since long. He immediately empathized and said.. "ohhh!! not since last Saturday??". Me: "Almost after 2-3 months. Boss I really have no cloths to wear in office. I just bought 2 tops last month... that’s it!!" His immediate reply was "What??? you spent last one whole month alternating between those two tops…??". That's when I realised how futile it was to pursue the conversation...so topic changed...
But one thing I don’t understand is why people make fun of girls who love shopping... I only see these girls getting smarter in:
  1. dealing with coaxing salesmen, not really buying what (really) not needed!
  2. haggling with the best "bhaiyya" in town.. getting the best deal out of him (yet thinking she got duped)!!
  3. resisting the temptation of buying more than one just that one...over priced top/ skirt (one is always justified and you can average it out with a dirt cheap purchase... like a 100 buck tee or a road side footwear!) ,
  4. not looking at that Fossil/ Diesel/Esprit watch section or the fragrance section...uhh I mean not one more time after checking it out just once and then finally buying just one thing that she badly wanted and had been secretly saving (even she dint know until then)
  5. lasting for 2-3 hours without food or water... or... loo break for that matter,
  6. during sale...trying not to fight with some crazy women in line for the changing rooms (who needs temper control workshops?)
  7. Convincing mom, dad, brother, boy friend and the damned neighbor that she got the best deals
  8. Lastly convincing self that she got the best deals and will surely fit in those clothes that are slightly smaller in size but bought it anyway as she is on a diet!
Ship loads of learning and growing involved in each experience....

Welcome

Yippee.... 3.40AM... March 10, 2008... Almost two years after I actually wanted to... I have created my own blog....The reason for delay was simple... I dint have a real motto to make one... Not that I have a great one now.... but was tired of waiting for a good reason to start... (loser!!)
So lets choke the bandwidth with my thoughts, bad grammar and erroneous writing :P
Ganapati Bappa Morya!!
